Samsung Ultra Compact SMX-C20UN Camcorder

Posted by computers On April - 3 - 2010

The Samsung SMX-C20UN is the latest compact camcorder to be released by the electronics giant. The launch follows up on an earlier release by the company of two point and shoot digital camera, the Samsung ST5000 and the Samsung ST5500.
The SMX-C20UN digital camcorder includes several interesting features including a 25 degree active angle lens which allows videographers to be able to record video for long periods of time without facing the issues of wrist strain or fatigue. Additionally, Samsung has included some video editing features into their new offering such as the ability to edit video as well as divide large video files into smaller file sizes. By integrating these features into the camcorder directly, Samsung has done away with the users reliance on a personal computer which can be a handy feature if you’re on a family vacation and want to edit some video footage captured earlier in the day. Of course, it’s important to note that this is basic video editing, for more advanced features, you’d probably want to turn to your PC.
Other features of the SMX-C20UN include support for the new H.264 video CODEC, a video compression technology which is said to offer high quality video with low data rates. Finally, time lapse video support is included, which is a cool feature that can be used to capture some unique effects such as a flower opening or the clouds moving overhead.
