Bell Canada has confirmed that they will now carry the Android OS HTC Legend. With this announcement, Bell has become the second Canadian mobile carrier to carry the Android phone with Virgin Mobile Canada, also a Bell property, being the first.
Regardless of which provider you choose, both will offer up the handset for $80 CAD provisional on a three year service contract which doesn’t say much for competition. However, where the two differ in their pricing is in the contract free option. Bell has this available for $400 while Virgin Mobile Canada offers a $50 discount at $350.
The specs on the Android 2.1 OS powered HTC Legend include a 600 MHz CPU, a multi-touch 3.2-inch AMOLED display screen, integrated 5MP camera and an optical trackpad in lieu of a trackball.
