Orange UK will soon add a new mobile handset to its lineup with the addition of the Alcatel One Touch XTRA. The new phone will be exclusive to the UK mobile carrier who is having a busy month, also preparing their own branded phones in the Orange Lisbon and the Orange Rio.
The XTRA is a QWERTY slider phone that is being represented as a “social networking phone” that includes complete integration with the more popular social sites like Facebook and the micro-blogging site Twitter.
For features, the Alcatel One Touch XTRA comes with a QVGA touchscreen display and has a 2 megapixel digital camera that supports video recording. The GSM/EDGE compatible handset also has an FM radio, MP3 player, 3.5mm headphone jack and Bluetooth technology. Mobile users will be able to pick up the new phone on a pay as you go plan at a price of £49.99.
