The MiLi Pro iPhone projector isn’t much better, but it definitely is better. This LED projector will feature a 640×480 resolution, and the ability to project an image up to 70 inches. However, the manufacturers don’t recommend above 40 inches but with its 10 lumens you’re probably going to want to go much lower.

The MiLi Pro laso features VGA and RCA inputs along with an iPhone dock connector and is expected to ship sometime in September.

Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid Drive

Seagate has announced the launch of the Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid Drive. The Momentus XT combines a mixture of a regular hard drive and SSD storage to create a fast hybrid storage solution.
The system uses what Seagate call Adaptive Memory technology that allows the drive to deliver SSD performance. The SSD chips can hold 4GB of data which is filled by the more commonly used files such as operating system files, programs and data. By moving them to SSD it allows fast access. As your computer usage changes the technology adapts and moves the new files to the SSD portion of the drive.

HTC EVO 4G Rooted

The HTC EVO 4G hasn’t launched yet, and wont for another 11 days, yet some has already managed to root the new smartphone.
At the Google I/O event last week, the company handed out free HTC EVO 4G handsets to all those in attendance. One guy who attended the event decided to work with a couple of other friends over the weekend just gone and they managed to get root on the device allowing super user access to the smartphone.

Onkyo E713A9B AIO Computer

Onkyo has launched their latest all in one computer that will try an appeal to iPod owners by including a dock for this rather popular Apple gadget.
The Onkyo E713A9B will come with a 23-inch display screen that is HD ready, capable of a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In addition to HD content support, the Onkyo AIO is powered with an Intel Core i5-650 processor that runs at a clock speed of 3.20GHz. Other features include 4GB of RAM (optionally upgradeable to 8GB), a 1TB HDD (hard disk drive), blue ray drive, 1.3MP webcam, a matching set of 5-watt speakers, a digital TV tuner and an SDXC memory card slot.
The Onkyo multimedia PC will be available on June 17, 2010 in Japan for a price of $2106. It’s unclear if/when Onkyo will launch the device globally.

HP webOS Slate Confirmed

Since the HP/Palm deal occured, a bit of speculation about HP launching a webOS based tablet has been happening. We heard a couple of weeks back that the new webOS tablet could be called the HP Hurricane although no official information has been provided about this being the case.
Yesterday a HP representative confirmed that the company would be working on a HP webOS based tablet that will be made available in October. As well as tablets using webOS, we also hear that smartphones will continue to use it although surprisingly, netbooks and smartbooks have been ruled out. Read the rest of this entry »

Uniden ULP1000 Laser Pico Projector

Uniden is about to launch a new Laser Pick Projector called the Uniden ULP1000. The projector can project an image with a WVGA resolution of 848 x 480 pixels. The contrast ratio of the projector is 5000:1.
With the pico projector being based on a laser, this means that no focus is necessary and that images are kept in focus regardless of the surface and how far the projector is from the surface.
The ULP1000 comes with a unique docking charger where you can easily place the projector to be charged when needed. The battery life on the projector is about 2 hours on a single charge which should see you through a film or so and perhaps a game or 2. Read the rest of this entry »

45 LED Solar Spotlight

The 45 LED Solar Spotlight produces 210 lumens at any time it senses motion. The gadget will adjust to sense movements from 10 feet to 60 sixty feet away while only illuminating at night. The light can swivel 180 degrees, tilt 120 degrees, and can be set to illuminate for fives to three minutes after it detects motion and until the motion is gone. The 15 feet cord connects the solar panel to the light, which allows the light to be installed under a shaded porch or eave while the panel collects sunlight from the roof.

Nokia N8 180 percent Faster than N97

Although we had a bit of a let down when we heard the Nokia N8 wasn’t due to ship till August, we still hear good news today in that early benchmark tests reveal that the N8 is very quick.
The Nokia N8 has some decent specifications that include a nice 12 megapixel camera although the CPU was thought to be a little on the slow side at 680MHz. However, some benchmark tests have been performed that show the N8 is still quite quick and in fact, it maxed out the benchmarking software on some tests. Read the rest of this entry »

Low Cost VIA Android OS Tablets On The Way

Taking a page from the success that Apple has had with its iPad lineup, VIA plans to release their own tablet computers. Expected to be available sometime in the second quarter of this year, VIA plans to launch 5 different tablets.
The low cost tablets will range in price between $100-$150 and will run on the Android operating system. Android is a popular OS choice for tablet computers and when Richard Brown, VP of Marketing was asked why the VIA tablets will run Android, his response was “Android is bringing a lot of diversity to the market. Mock-Up Handheld Console Mixes all in to One

This portable hand-held is a mock-up of what a portable would look like if it had all of the best features mixed together.
The basic shape, as seen in the image above, is that of a Sony PSP although a flip up Nintendo DS style screen is also to be found along with a number of buttons and controls found on a mixture of games consoles.
The design has taken features from the XBox, PSP, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Gameboy and possibly other games consoles and handhelds.
Of course we will never actually see this device, but either way I thought I’d post it along anyway for you to either look or laugh at.

The Sony NEX-3 and Sony NEX-5 digital cameras were unveiled a couple of weeks back. Each of the cameras use the APS-C format.

The Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 bring the power of a digital SLR camera and mix that in to a smaller case closer to the size of a point and shoot camera. The difference between the two cameras is the NEX-5 has more superior video recording capabilities and can capture in full HD at 1080p. The NEX-3 can handle up to 720p video.
