Sony is one of the more popular brand names for high definition televisions and today, the electronics giant has confirmed the availability of its latest HDTV offering in the NX800 series.
The NX800 series comes with a distinguished appearance as well as a thin profile, having made its first appearance just a few weeks back. As it stands now, some models within this series are available for immediate purchase while pre-orders are being accepted for others.
Common to the NX800 range is a six-degree tilt system that allows TV viewers a comfortable viewing angle independent upon how close the television set is to the floor. Additionally, these sets will come with a Bravia Engine 3 video processor and Edge LED backlight, components that provide for a high quality image and smooth video transitions.
All sets are 3D enabled and Internet ready with integrated WiFi support built-in as is a USB port. The unit also includes some energy saving features such as a light sensor that can not only detect ambient light levels but also adjust the LED lighting accordingly.
There are three models within the NX800 series. These are the 46-inch BRAVIA KDL-46NX800 which will retail in mid-May for $2300, the 52-inch BRAVIA KDL-52NX800 which will retail for $2800 but is currently on backorder and the 60-inch BRAVIA KDL-60NX800 that is in stock and priced at $3500.
