In Hannover, Germany, Asus has debuted their Xonar Xense sound card that comes bundled with a set of matching Sennheiser PC350 headphones capable of 7Vrms due to an integrated amplifier. In addition to offering a high fidelity audio experience, audiophiles need to be aware of the strength of these headphones which could result in hearing loss at extreme volumes.
Additional features include full support of a variety of audio standards including DirectSound, Dolby and EAX (environmental audio extensions), amongst others.
One of the highlights of the offering is the inclusion of the GX 2.5 audio engine, a feature that allows consumers to customize the sound profiles of the cans to their personal preferences. Additionally, the audio engine is said to offer realistic sound effects whether you’re watching the latest blockbuster movie or playing the newest online video game.
