Origin Storage has just launched its new range of drives with built in hardware encryption. The Pro edition has 128bit AES hardware encryption and the Enterprise version a 256bit hardware encryption. The LCD screen is used to enter and configure your 18 digit PIN number which is required to access the drive. Don’t forget it.
Origin say the hard drive and data lockers can detect brute force and malware attacks. Once detected the hard drive then enters in to its self destruct mode and cleans all data from the device.
Available for around $650 about £399.
