Intel SATA SSD Firmware Update Tool

Intels  enterprise-grade reange of solid state hard disk drives as received an important firmware upgrade which now adds  support for the “Trim” feature on Windows 7. Trim as well as increasing the speed of data transfer will also cut down on the amount of data to be deleted, increasing the SSD’s lifespan and allowing it to delete garbage data in advance. It also uses ATA commands to increase the SSD write speeds.

It looks like it will support the majority of memory cards including, SD, microSD and Memory Stick Duo, and it will come in a range of funky colors.

Asus Launches The First USB 3.0 Motherboard

Asus has launched the first USB 3.0 motherboard, the Asus Xtreme Design P7DP55DE-E Premium, which uses a third party USB 3.0 controller.

The Asus Asus Xtreme Design P7DP55DE-E Premium is an Intel P55 based motherboard, it comes with two USB 3.0 ports, as well as 10 USB 2.0 ports, plus a pair of 5GB.s SATA ports.

It also has six 3GB/S SATA ports, two PCIe x 16 slots for graphics cards and it supports both AMD’s CrossFireX and NVIDIA’s SLI cards, plus a pair of Gigabit Ethernet ports.

There is no word on pricing or availability as yet.

The Sony Ericsson Aino features a 3 inch touch-screen display, with a resolution of 432 x 240, it also has an 8.1 megapixel camera with 6 x digital zoom, and built in image and video stabilization.

On top of that there is stereo Bluetooth A2DP, and a slide out keypad, built in WiFi and tri-band HSPA, it can also sync and stream music, videos and pictures from your PS3.

The Sony Ericsson Aino is available now SIM free from Sonystyle for $600, for that you get an 8GB microSD card, Bluetooth headphones and a charging dock.

The Spider PC concept is Ericsson’s vision for portable computers of the future, it uses a pico projector to project a screen onto the wall, and a laser projector to project a keyboard onto your desk.

The Skatekeyboard is the work or artist Tobi Leingruber, luckily it is just a peice of art rather than a fully functional skateboard, as it looks like it would be really uncomfortable to ride.

The Skatekeyboard will be shown, among the work of some amazing artists and friends, at the BLK River Festival in Vienna next week. I’ll be there, too – Also liebe Wiener – Kommts vorbei! The Skatekeyboard is also part of my upcoming solo show…. to be announced very soon!
