Wax Seal USB Drive

Here is an innovative design for a USB drive from designer Marlies Romberg, the Wax Seal USB drive.

Wax Seal USB Drive

This is very cool and completely different than some of the USB drives we have seen so far, unfortunately it looks like it is just a design at the moment, and not an actual product.

Puristic Sports Car

I want a car that’s sporty yet contemporary; elegant yet extravagant, chic yet rugged. I think I want the White Vapor; but then again maybe not. The front fender reminds me of my husband’s old shaver, but Oliver says he’s rounded it to prevent pedestrians from injuries. Point noted Mr. May. Following a “puristic sports car layout” expect no doors or roof and a twin cockpit. The choice of a right or left steering wheel setting is possible, making it suitable for US and European roads.

Camera and new Cocktail UI for next gen iPod Touch

Posted by admin On August - 14 - 2009

Camera and new Cocktail UI for next gen iPod TouchAs we were thinking, Zune HD is not going to get way that easily with stealing iPod Touch’s sales. Here is the most important news at the moment: first, next gen iPod Touch is going to have a camera. Second, guys from Apple are working on a replacement for Cover Flow. The new user interface will be called “Cocktail”.

Apple was always capable of introducing new and exiting features to its products is a well-known fact. However, Cocktail UI and camera is not enough to rise above Zune HD as many people on Web conclude. Even Apple fanboys admit that a camera on a PMP, even a top range one, is a bit odd. As for me, it looks like they were desperate to think of something else, if Touch needs something else at all.

Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000

While I was reviewing Tiny-USB Keyboard while ago, I mentioned that until we have easier and faster way to transfer spoken words into computer, keyboards ,as we know them, are here to stay. Good news is that the latest input devices coming with very inovative features to help computer users do the job faster and in more efficient way. As for a bad news, more than seven in 10 Americans( by Kelton Research, June 2009) have felt discomfort from keyboard use. As a time people spend on computers increases so does the pain they feel in their hands and wrists as well. Microsoft Corp., sensing market needs, just unveiled the ergonomist-approved Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000, which utilizes a Comfort Curve layout that promotes much healthier wrist position.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPUs liquid cooled by BFG

Posted by admin On August - 5 - 2009

Submerging a motherboard with all of the adapters and fans inside the case into vegetable oil is indeed not new and not very popular. This has fewer upsides than problems it may cause while assembling and using the PC. Makes it of course more exiting, but prime advantage of all this – liquid cooling – has found interest between overclockers and gamers. So, a liquid cooling kit for a processor alone is an average thing these days. And now we got an announcement from BFG which sais they will do VGA cards with liquid cooling.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPUs liquid cooled by BFG

BFG’s plans on this embrace only NVIDIA’s GPUs. Two models of the top GeForce range are going to be fitted with BFG ThermoIntelligence Advanced Cooling Solutions on purpose, which surely is better performance. This works out well for BFG GeForce GTX 295 H2OC and BFG GeForce GTX 295 H2OC – both get 100 – 200 MHz faster clock speeds at core, shaders and memory.

Another important thing is that BFG ThermoIntelligence Advanced Cooling Solutions require no service during maintenance whatsoever: no assemblage, no coolant change – nothing. It even provides variable and adjustable performance. Three settings: quiet, auto and maximum are aimed to balance between cooling power and noise. I just hope noise in maximum position is tolerable because generally the idea is good and hopefully be applied to more graphic cards.
