As a cat owner myself, I was forced many times to drag myself out of bed  in the middle of the night and dutifully let the cat back in.

For some pet owners solution to this “torture” is catflap installed on  backdoor but, in my case, I just can’t bear the security risks one poses. The last MP3 player Creative launched in the market was called Zen Mozaic which became available in the United States starting last August. In the given context, you must agree it’s been a while since we last had the chance to see a new product coming from Creative, so these two MP3 players I’m going to tell you about are something like a dream come true.

Following the tradition of the Zen line, the Zen Mozaic EZ300 and the Zen MX are designed to bring the users the ultimate music experience.

The first one, meaning the Zen Mozaic EZ300, is available in two different versions: a 8GB version which is being sold for $79.99, while the 4GB one can be yours for $59.99.

Other features include a 1.8 inch TFT display (a colored one), an integrated speaker, FM radio, voice recorder and, for those who have problems with getting up in the mornings, there’s also an alarm clock. The mosaic design is quite unique and is you’ll see, for example, that the EZ300 is based on the plug and play system, which will help you drag and drop the songs you want to listen to.

As for the Zen MX, you’ll probably find a resemblance between the device and a credit card. It measures 83.2 z 55.0 x 11.9 millimeters and comes in two versions also: the 8GB model is being sold for a price of $99.99, while the 16GB one for $129.99.

The features of the Zen MX include a 2.5 inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, an SD/SDHC card support, voice recorder, FM radio and, once again, an alarm clock.

Acer has finally announced global availability of their top range F900 smartphone. We had to wait for quite a long time since the first day of MWC back in the middle of February 2009 when Acer has officially announced their future smartphone range including DX900, X960, M900 and, of course, the F900. At those times we were thinking of its software features (almost all hardware specifications were announced without delay), pricing and competitors. Now we can comment on mostly everything about it.

One of the things I like about F900 is its UI shell over Windows Mobile 6.1 – an Acer 2.0 User Interface lined up for widgets and apps. There are enough of those even from the start: YouTube, weather, Google Maps and Search, Jukebox, etc. Acer was aiming at maximum Internet experience ease so F900 sports JavaScript and Adobe Flash Lite via Internet Explorer Mobile 6. 3.75G HSDPA / HSUPA connectivity is also right there for better browsing.

Hardware specs are good enough, especially knowing that marking specialists were picking it just so to close the gap in the Acer Tempo Smartphone Series:

We, humans, are social beings in constant need to communicate and express our thoughts and feelings to others around us. That life “necessity”  is kind of taken from us while we are in a cars driving on busy streets. It would be nice if you could tell the other driver, who just cut you off, how you really feel about his/her move. Of course, you could always use already well known ways to do this, – but there is new gadget which will add some technology to your message.

BenQ launches its newest portable 11.6-inch notebook. It is called Joybook Lite U121 Eco. The netbook is powered by 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor. It has a high quality 1366×768 resolution screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and HDMI output. The Joybook Lite U121 Eco has the optional six-cell battery and it can work up to eight hours.

The notebook comes with a big number of possible storage drive options. User can choose between 160 GB, 250 GB, 320 GB and 500 GB hard drives. The options for a solid state drive are also wide. User can choose from 8 GB up to 32 GB. The Joybook Lite U121 Eco comes with Windows XP Home or Linux Lite installed. The virtual memory is 1 GB in standard but can be upgraded up to 2 GB.

The connection to the world is provided by an 802.11 b/g/n WLAN card. Also the netbook has Bluetooth 2.1 and HSUPA. A built-in 1.3 megapixel camera is an ideal variant for video conferences. The audio functionality is provided by 2W speakers.

The price of the Joybook Lite U121 is not officially announced. The netbook will be available in white and blue colors.

Living in big cities brings comfort of modern life and chance to use all the latest advancements of technology. Unfortunately, it comes at the price of being surrounded by noise and air pollution on daily basis. NEC launches its newest curved gamers dream monitor. It is called CRV43. The original name of the monitor is not so simple – Ostendo CRVD-42Dwx+.

The CRV43 has 2880×900 high-quality resolution screen with 10,000:1 contrast ratio. There a lot to say about technical characteristics of the CRV43 screen. Can be allocated 2 ms response time and 200cd/m2 brightness. The screen covers 100% of sRGB color scheme and 99,3% of Adobe RGB.

Other multimedia devices can be connected to the CRV43 via DVI and HDMI 1.3 input. Also NEC equipped its curved monitor with USB 2.0 interface.

The CRV43 looks like prototype. This kind of novelty can’t be described by words it should be viewed in work. The gamers dream is expected to appear on the shelves next month. The price is 7999 USD. But it will surely hit the markets.

Sony Ericsson presents a new “photo-monster” mobile phone. It’s called Satio. As it was said the phone impresses with a huge kinds of functionalities in photography mode. Let’s look through it.

The Satio has 12.1 megapixel camera. It will be enough but this is not all what the phone has. Photos quality is powered by smart xenon flash and 12x digital zoom. Consumers can easily make high quality photos using Smart Contrast, Photo fix, Smile Shutter technology, BestPic, Geo-tagging and red-eye reduction programs. Also Satio has face detection and touch focus.

But Sony Ericsson didn’t stop. The video mode on the Satio can surprise too. Consumers can capture high quality video files at 30 fps.

The Satio works on Symbian S60. Connection with the world is provided by A-GPS and Wi-Fi. The mobile phone delivers with 8 GB memory card and can be upgraded up to 16 GB via microSD. The internal memory is 128 MB.

The price of the Satio is not officially announced. The mobile phone is expected to hit the market in the end of this year.

Play Station Portable Family has now grown up. Sony launches Play Station Portable Go on Saturday. The PSP Go is made like a slider and it makes the device more portable. The PSP internal memory has been upgraded up to 16 GB and it also has a memory card slot. Now the device is more comfortable to use like a media player.

And this is not all. Sony has upgraded PSP Go with a Bluetooth. Now players can talk with each other using voice chat via Bluetooth. Also they can use Skype to talk with any Bluetooth devices.

Sony has a lot of competitors in the portable world. The iPod touch has been marketed as a gaming device by Apple and it the first competitor. The second competitor is the Nintendo DS. But Play Station Portable occupies a high level in the world of portable gaming devices.

Sony says that PSP Go not differs from the other PSPs. It will be an alternative for Play Station fans. The price is not officially announced.

Moonlight laptop is just a concept yet but it is possible to make it today since all the technologies are already exists. The uniqueness of this concept design is the duel curved screens, bigger one of 16:9 and other one with 4:3, which reduces eye stress by maintaining an average distance from the eye to the laptop screen. The lower display is a touch screen and can work as a mouse or run a mini OS in the background, or just as an annex of the bigger one. In the classic fairy tale a pumpkin changes into a magnificent coach and the little mice are turned into steeds. In today’s version I would like to see pumpkin transformed in something more powerful, something like porsche.
Yes, I have to admit that I prefer more high tech concept of transformations and that is why I really enjoy whole Transformers world of super machines and cool gadgets. Imagine that you could buy one device which could transform into whatever you want or need.

The Flash Voyager and Flash Survivor USB drive collection from Corsair has been upgraded to 32GB storage capacity each. The Voyager is fitted with rubber on the outside to prevent damage from accidental drops or shocks, and that is really good if you have extremely important data on it, like a bootable OS. And since the size allows it, you can even copy your favourite movies and all the videos you love to take them away with you in your travels, and you can even store a portable video player on it so you can enjoy a very good multimedia experience. The drives are durable, drop-tested and water-proof. Hoever, the prices are a bit restrictive – $230 for the Voyager and $250 for Survivor (because it comes with an USB extender cable, and dog tags).

Swiss manufacturer Green GT unveils a very taking concept race car. Called Twentry-4, this magnificent all-electric super car still being under construction is expected to take part in 24 hour Le Mans race in France scheduled in 2011. Designed by 5 students from the CCi du Valenciennois in France, this outstanding prototype is made of carbon fiber chassis as well as a fiber glass body.

The super car is reported to have between 350 and 450 horsepower while weighing 1 895 pounds. Green GT super car is expected to be accelerated to 60 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds, producing its top speed of 171 miles per hour. The company is going to make 22 cars expected to be within the next 3 years. This stunning electric racing car is expected to become the most modern racing car never seen before.

This electronically programmed prototype is going to feature racing triangle spring suspension while having Green GT differential gearbox. Its power supply is provided by Flexcell photovoltaic solar panels coming with 2 lithium-ion batteries each capable to produce 30kWh. Its 2 electric engines are both water cooled with 2 x 100kW in total.

Green GT also incorporates an aluminum brake pad coming with Brembo disk brake made from steel. Wheels characteristics include racing tires coming with magnesium O.Z. rims while torque amounts to 2000Nm rear wheel at 11 000-12 000 revolutions per minute.

Dealing with sudden computer crash is very frustrating experience. Personally, through many years, I spend countless hours recovering my computer from all kind of crashes  hoping that no data is lost. Downtime is also big factor especially if we are talking about mission critical computer system in corporations. Although new operating systems have many integrated features to prevent accidental data lost there is one issue with that.

All these preventive features are software based. Code can be changed by computer virus and then  recovery option is gone hence hardware solution is much more reliable. One of the the least expensive hardware based data recovery gadgets are Hard Drive Recovery Cards.
