OWC has come up with the availability of their latest Mercury Pro 8X Blu-ray external drives that come built-in with Quad Interface and are capable of writing with the speeds of up to 2GB per minute. These Blu-ray burners also claim to provide flexibility of Quad Interface including FireWire 400, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 plus eSATA interfaces, which are touted to be plug & play consistent with Windows and Macintosh systems. The Blu-ray burners can be used easily to burn/write DVDs up to 16X and CDs up to 32X speed.
