TeleNav, the leading maker of GPS hardware and software, has announced the offering of its Telenav GPS Navigator service to owners of the Android-based T-Mobile G1. As its reviews, the service, to be availed on a lot of other mobile phones in the industry and carriers that take in AT&T and Sprint, is slated to be launched on February 24th for the G1, as well as will let users get turn-by-turn driving directions, traffic alerts with re-routing and not less than 10 million searchable business listings. First of all, TeleNav has plans to offer the GPS Navigator merely via its website, but the application is slated to be made available at the Android Market soon after this year. Via TeleNav, users will also be allowed to obtain a free one-month trial of the program, with the service pricing around $10 a month after the trial period for unlimited access to the service.
TeleNav is no alien to the business, offering its navigation services to a lot of GPS-based smartphones and carriers, comprising Sprint & AT&T.
