The iRecord Pro is a one touch device which allows you to record the content for your iPod and many other devices. The device not only records content for the iPod but it is first device to record content directly to the Sony Walkman, the Sony PSP, and other devices. However, the device seems to be overpriced at $259 but it will definitely save money in the long run.

When it comes to the design, the iRecord Pro shows significant improvements over its predecessor, the iRevord. The device is designed with rounded edges and sliver piping accents which look pretty good. Measuring 5.5 x 3.6 x 1 inches, the device is much larger than the iPod. The device features only two button controls- power and record, both are located on the top edge of the device. The back panel sports RCA AV, S-Video, and power inputs and the left side sports a USB port which allows you to connect the device to portable players and the mini USB port located on the right edge allows you to connect the device to your computer.
The front panel sports a number of LED which act as indicators for various features such as recording, recoding time- 30, 60, 120 and 180 minutes, power, and USB device detection etc. An included remote features buttons for timer, pausing and stopping the recording and buttons for recording video or audio only.
The device is upgradable which will solve compatibitly issues in the future. The device is capable of recording MPEG-4 or H.264 video and Mp3 audio. The device is compatible with all the iPod models as well as the Sony PSP, Sony Walkman, and USB flash drives. Moreover, the iRecord Pro is the only device which is capable of recording the videos to Apple’s iPhone 3G and audio to the Creative Zen Vision, the Toshiba Gigabeat S, and the SanDisk Sansa e200 series. The list does not end here, it is also capable of recording audio and video to your laptop or PC, both Windows and Mac. But the device lacks the feature to schedule recordings. Another addition that you will definitely like is the ability of the device to record from protected DVDs. But it is illegal unless you own the DVDs.
The device is pretty simple to use. It automatically detects the format based on the type of cable connected. You just need to connect the cable and press the record; the device will do the rest of the work. The recorded video quality is excellent and you will not see any sign of pixelation or audio delay. Another limitation is that you can only record in real time which means the commercials will be present in all the recorded content. But the device is a great option for those who want to record content for their portable device without worrying about computer or any software.
