Many a companies have taken advantage of CES to showcase their products. Pharos is also one of them that has headlined its CES lineup by sprucing its new Traveler handset. As its reviews, Boasting of the latest 137, the company claims that this is its 1st to be superseded almost solely by its 3.5-inch touchscreen and holds the its focal point on GPS navigation.

Apart from all that, the device comes embedded with turn-by-turn navigation along with voiced directions plus makes an effort to bring about a balance between free but limited applications and subscription services: owners have to pay for complete use of in-house mapping software of Pharos but they are allowed to make access to it by the year, month, week, day or week rather than having to retain a flat rate.
The Windows Mobile handset is equally sophisticated elsewhere along with an 800×480 resolution, a 3-mega-pixel camera, 7.2Mbps HSPA with 2Mbps uploads and Wi-Fi. Plus, Storage is usually handled by microSDHC cards. The Traveler 137 is likely to be rolled out ahead of the spring as an unlocked handset with the estimated price tag of up to $600 in the US. In addition, it is note worthy here that the Traveler 137 will have 1,700MHz 3G support native to parts of T-Mobile’s US network.
This was not all done by Pharos, similar to other companies, it, aside from shipping out the Traveler 137, also has plans to ship out the Traveler 117, a 2.8-inch touchscreen han-dset, which is expected to be sold with the price tag of around $530; and will come with the 127, a hybrid touch/QWERTY device with 7.2Mbps 3G at the similar price.
Last but not the least, there is the 619, which is a basic non-touch GPS smartphone and is expected to be made available with the price tag of around $200 without a contract. For it I have to be sorry, as there was no availability as to its additional specs and features, but don’t worry as and when it comes, I will let you know, till then good bye.
