The Digimate SW059 lies at the budget end of the market and aims at improving problems like crackly reception and poor audio quality. The Digimate SW059 wireless headset aims to do pretty well on this front and aims to prove itself as an excellent performer on the wireless headphones front. Well, the first impression of the package is not at the least impressive. The package comes with cheap looking collection of hardware. The headphones themselves look pretty okay in terms of design and are accompanied by a mini-pylon type transmitter. The package houses a lot of wires. The package lacked a mains adapter and extra batteries.

You have to start by putting a pair of AAAs for the transmitter. You will also need a pair for the headphones. Putting batteries in the headphones might prove to be a bit tricky for first timers as the battery slot is not marked clearly. Unfortunately, the mini help book that comes along with the package is also of little help. The headphones come with a built-in 3.5-inch audio jack. This means that you will face no problem in using them as non-powered wired phones. To set up the headphones, you have to turn on the transmitter and switch everything to wireless headphones. The headset then resets itself and then scans for frequencies. It picks up the audio that has been transmitted to it.
But the bad part is the headset does not work as well as you expect it to. The headphones, upon scanning pick up crystal clear FM radio stations but otherwise, they provide not so clear sound. In short, these headphones are excellent for listening to the radio, but pretty average otherwise. The headphones come at a street price of £18. This price is not only attractive but also is cheap. In short, the Digimate SW059 wireless headset clearly struggles to accomplish what it says on its box.
