Huawei – Shenzhen, China is a leading name in the next generation telecommunications network solutions. Huawei’s latest invention in broadband terminals, the i-Mo HSPA modem with WiFi is the smallest and lightest wireless modem so far, which is to be debuted at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona next week.

Almost the size of a small key chain, the Huawei i-Mo includes both HSDPA / HSUPA USB modem and a WiFi b/g chip on the board offering you to share the connection with other devices. The device supports a maximum downlink speed of 7.2 Mbps, while the maximum uplink speed being 5.76 Mbps – although it depends entirely on the network. You no longer need to carry those bulky Internet cables when just the size of a small key chain that easily slips into your pocket serves the same purpose. As its reviews, this amazing piece of device can create group internet access automatically and also WiFi hot points for the purpose of network digital equipments including laptops, mobiles, cameras, MP4 devices and game consoles. But that’s not all, the Huawei i-Mo supports plug-and-play feature where music and videos can be downloaded and uploaded in just seconds. The i-Mo can also be used as a USB disk due to its in-built MicroSD card slot.
One can hardly even guess the number of features and technology packed into this smallest wireless modem. With the release of the Huawei I-Mo wireless modem, users can reach up to a level of convenience. All you need to do is simply turn on the Wi-Fi switch and get the access to a high speed HSPA network almost immediately. It has been observed that Huawei generally releases its products through a carrier partner instead of offering directly to users. So, there is no news on pricing and availability of the device yet. However, it is expected it to be available in Q2 2009.
