Silicon Power has rolled out its state-of-the-art USB flash drive, known as eSATA/USB SSD ((eSATA; External Serial ATA). This isn’t an ordinary USB flash drive. The storage device, as its review, is a high-capacity portable SSD that sports in eSATA and Mini USB dual interfaces, hot plug & play and 4-channel high performance technology. The eSATA connection brags of a read speed of 92 MB/s and a write speed of 48MB/s, 8 times the write speed of the normal USB. The eSATA/USB SSD can be availed in 16GB, 8GB and 32GB capacities that are perfect for the people who are on the look out for high-capacity, high-speed data transfer and portability.
The eSATA connector is touted to offer external data transfer at speeds up to 3Gbps, which is comparatively greater than the USB 2.0 interface with 480MB/s.
