The Samsung company, along with LaCie have announced the 1.3 portable hard drive, produced under the LaCie micro storage devices brand. The drives are available in 30GB and 40GB and have an USB 2.0 connection through a small flexible cale which shows and proves the mobility side. Equally sized as a Compact Flash II card, the 1.3-inch drive is plug-and-play, driver-free and is compatible with any computer running Windows 2000, XP, Vista, MacOS X 10.2 or higher or Linux 2.4 or 2.6. All the drives come preformatted in FAT32 for unversal compatibility.
